IEEE UIU Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE UIU Student Branch and WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Bangladesh Section organized a workshop on "Advanced Microsoft Office Tools" on 17 August, 2017 (Thursday) at 4:00 pm in Computer Lab-9, United International University (UIU) main campus.

Microsoft Office Tools is a very handy and widely used platform when it comes to corporate culture. Almost every job requires handling Microsoft Office Tools to some extent. This workshop was organized to make the graduating students familiar and compatible with Microsoft Excel from beforehand.
The workshop was conducted by two instructors, the first one being Nafisa Zarrin Tasnim, Assistant Engineer (R&D), Energypac Engineering Limited and Professional Activities Coordinator of WIE Executive Committee, 2017 and the second one being Syeda Iffat Naz, Assistant Engineer (R&D), Energypac Engineering Limited and Webmaster of WIE Executive Committee, 2017. The Microsoft Office Tool used in the workshop was Microsoft Excel. The instructors demonstrated data entry, formatting of data, different built-in functions of Excel,plotting, etc. The instructors gave some exercises to the participants to make sure that the participants can apply the concepts to any given situation. The instructors also took questions from the participants. The workshop received a whooping attention from 20 attendees, out of which 8 were female.
