“WIE AG, IEEE BDS Executive Committee Meeting” Organized by WIE, AG BDS

WIE affinity group, Bangladesh section arranged its very first meeting of this year on 16th February, 2018 from 11 A.M. at BUET Teachers Club. In the meeting, Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chair of IEEE Bangladesh Section discussed and shared her vision on overall planning for 2018 activities. Chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer and other executive members of WIE BDS were also present in the meeting. Planning and organizing 2018 IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit and reaching global recognition was the main focus of discussion in the meeting. It was also discussed how to make the events more successful and impactful to the participants.

Another focus for 2018 for the committee members is to inspire WIE members to join different technical societies of IEEE BDS based on their area of interest and to engage themselves with different technical society oriented works or projects. Apart from that, committee members have discussed on 2018 activities like workshops, outreach activities, call for proposals, WIE signature event and many more. Apart from the responsibilities related to the mentioned events assigned to each committee members, they were also encouraged to be more involved in motivating people from their respective workplaces to join IEEE to increase the professional membership. Active participation of all the members made the meeting effective. Finally a group photo was taken at the end of the meeting.
