Workshop on LATEX Jointly Organized by WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Bangladesh Section & IEEE Stamfo

A workshop on “LATEX” was jointly organized by WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Bangladesh Section & IEEE Stamford University Student Branch WIE Affinity Group on 26th November 2016 at MCL-B Lab of Stamford University Bangladesh. In total 24 students participated in this workshop, out of which 18 were IEEE members. The duration of the workshop was about 2 hours 15 minutes starting from 8:30am to 10:45am.

The workshop was inaugurated by a short speech from the chair of IEEE Stamford University Student Branch WIE Affinity Group, Miss Rumana Afrin Chowdhury. The workshop was conducted by two instructors, Miss Syeda Iffat Naz and Miss Nafisa Zarrin Tasnim, Assistant Engineers, Energypac Engineering Ltd. and publicity coordinators of the executive committee of WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Bangladesh Section.
The participants were told about the advantages of using LATEX over Word Doc for writing thesis, IEEE conference paper, journal, report and scientific article. The instructors used Miktex 2.9 version.

At the end of the workshop the instructors were handed over a token of appreciation for conducting the workshop by a lecturer of Stamford University, Mr. F. M. Anim Hossain. The participants were also given certificates for attending the workshop.
