Workshop on Introductory MATLAB & its Applications jointly organized by IEEE Stamford University

On 23 July 2016, WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Bangladesh Section & IEEE Stamford University Student Branch WIE Affinity Group jointly organized a workshop titled on "Workshop on Introductory MATLAB & its Applications" at MCL-B Lab of Stamford University Bangladesh. About 47 students participated in this workshop. Among them, 27 were IEEE members and 20 were non-IEEE members. The duration of the workshop was about 3 hours, from 10:00 am-01:00pm.
In the beginning of the workshop Md. Nurunnabi Mollah, Industrial Activity Coordinator, IEEE Bangladesh Section gave an inspirational speech to the participants and he mentioned the importance of MATLAB for an Electrical & Electronic Engineer. He also thanked all the participants for participating in the workshop.

The workshop was divided into two sessions, the first session-Introductory MATLAB were conducted by Tanima Tasmin Chowdhury, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE, University of Asia Pacific (UAP). The second session was based on the applications of MATLAB which was conducted by Proteeti Peya, Assistant Engineer, Procurement, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB) and also Professional Activities Coordinator of WIE, IEEE BDS.
The workshop was endowed with a massive response from all the participants. Both the participants and the instructors enjoyed the workshop.
Sultana Razia Akhter, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE, Stamford University Bangladesh and Branch Counselor, IEEE Stamford University Student Branch was present at the workshop.
Dr. Dilshad Mahjabeen, Associate Professor, Stamford University Bangladesh & Branch Counselor, IEEE Stamford University Student Branch praised the enthusiasm of the participants and the organizer of this workshop.

The workshop ended up with the valuable speech of Prof. Dr. Taifur Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman, Department of EEE, Stamford University Bangladesh & Branch Counselor IEEE Stamford University Student Branch. Finally, the honorable Chairman thanked the instructors by presenting a crest to each of them. The workshop turned out to be a successful event.
