IEEE Day Celebration at EWU

IEEE student branch of East West University celebrated this monumental day on the 31st of October 2014. This event was organized by IEEE EWU Student Branch & WIE Affinity group and sponsored by Techshop BD – one of the largest e-commerce in Bangladesh that sells electronic components. About 100 Students attended in this event from different universities.

This event was conducted in East West University’s very own faculty lounge. The special guest speakers of this event were Dr Celia Shahnaz, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Sabila Enun, Senior Sector Specialist at BRAC Education Program and a Communications Specialist at Dcastalia Bangladesh..

Dr. Shahnaz presented her speech on “Modelling of Teager Energy Operated Perceptual Wavelet Packet Coefficients and Adaptive Thresholding Function ”. SabilaEnun who is a successful entrepreneur gave a brief talk about the challenges one must face while starting an Entrepreneurship.

At the end of the event an interactive session (consisting of a treasure hunt) was conducted for all the participating members. The individuals of the winning group were all awarded a power bank charger.
