A workshop on usage of multimedia and designing multimedia contents

A workshop inspiring the usage and design of multimedia contents was organized by WIE Affinity Group, EEE Bangladesh Section at DSP Lab, Department of EEE, BUET on April 2, 2014 for the first time in the history of IEEE Bangladesh Section. The guest instructor was Zafir Shafiee Chowdhury who also designed the logo and poster of the first WIE BD congress in 2013. More than 30 undergraduate students from different universities participated in the workshop.

The instructor introduced the participants to the basics of illustrators, its applications and demonstrated the use of illustrator. Finally, the participants were asked to create some logo or drawing based on the WIE theme using Adobe Illustrator. They spontaneously drew innovative logos that reflecting the spirit of WIE by using the skills learnt in the workshop.

The fun and excitement reached a whole new level at the end of the workshop with the celebration of the farewell of the passing undergraduate female students from EEE, BUET. Dr. Pran Kanai Saha, Chair, IEEE BD section and some other executive members of IEEE Bangladesh Section also joined the occasion.
